WHO WE ARE
Zoe AI ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered relationship wellness coaching app. We provide conversational support for relationships and personal growth.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When You Create an Account:
- Email address
- Name or username
- Password (encrypted)
- Age confirmation (18+)
When You Use Zoe:
Onboarding Questions:
- Your relationship goals and focus areas
- Communication patterns and preferences
- Demographic info (age range, gender, etc.)
- General relationship background
Relationship Profiles:
- Type (romantic, friend, colleague, crush, etc.)
- Details about specific relationships
- Context and background you provide
Conversations:
- All text messages with Zoe
- Voice messages (if you use voice chat)
- Conversation history
Technical Data:
- Device type and OS version
- IP address
- App usage patterns
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your data to:
- Provide the Service - Power Zoe's AI conversations
- Personalize Responses - Tailor advice to your specific relationships

- Handles all subscription payments

3. Railway/Cloud Hosting
- Stores your encrypted data on US servers
- Cannot read encrypted conversations
- Provides app infrastructure

AI & YOUR DATA
How Zoe's AI Works:
- You send a message
- Your message + context is sent to OpenAI
- OpenAI's AI generates a response
- Response comes back to you
Context sent to OpenAI includes:
- Current conversation
- Your user profile
- Relevant relationship profile
- Past conversation history
Why we send context: So AI gives personalized, relevant advice instead of generic responses.
AI Limitations:
⚠️ Important: Zoe's AI may make errors, misunderstand context, or give inappropriate advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. Zoe is NOT therapy and cannot replace professional help.
We Don't Train On Your Data:
- ✗ We do NOT use your conversations to improve Zoe
- ✗ We do NOT analyze your data for research
- ✗ OpenAI does NOT use your data for training
WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED
Your data travels internationally:
- Operated from: India
- Stored in: United States (Railway servers)
- AI Processing: United States (OpenAI)
For EU users: Your data leaves the EU. We use Standard Contractual Clauses (EU-approved legal protections) and encryption to protect your data during international transfer.
By using Zoe, you consent to international data transfer.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
Encryption (Our Main Protection):
- ✓ All conversations encrypted in our database (we cannot read them)

Limitations:

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
While your account exists:
- We keep all your information to provide continuous service
When you delete your account:
- Account deactivated immediately
- All data deleted within 30 days
- Removed from backups within 90 days
- Some financial records kept for tax law compliance (up to 7 years)
OpenAI retention:
- 30 days after we send data, then deleted (independent of your account)
